The chance for people and communities to grow ideas into small businesses.
Find out how Purple Shoots can help you
Do you have an idea for a small business? If you don’t have the money to get you going, Purple Shoots will look at a small business loan to get you started.
We will help you with your idea and set up a small loan to give you enough for some equipment, or a website, or to cover the cost of some premises or other start up costs.
We will also give you some guidance to help you run your business successfully. This is called mentoring and will help you in the early stages if you need it, and at regular intervals throughout the first year.
Purple Shoots also works with groups enabling them to come together locally, to build on their skills and interests and to develop on going small businesses together. This will help build confidence and abilities in a community with a boost to help people towards independence and successfully earning some money from business.
Here are a few short videos about our lending and our self-reliant groups
“The recent economic crisis has shown that we need to think more-holistically and be more inclusive in our approaches to economic growth and enhancement of wellbeing. Through building on the talents of everyone and encouraging self-help in a non-judgmental way, Purple Shoots is an exemplar of how to develop community wellbeing in the 21st Century.”
